Riso Vialone Nano - Olea Europaea Riso Vialone Nano grains are short and plump, with the ability to take more robust flavours with flair. With a slightly lower starch content than Carnaroli Rice, Vialone Nano Rice is appreciated for its lightness and less grainy texture, as well as the ability to absorb large volumes of liquid while still holding its shape. Vialone Nano is the preferred rice of the Veneto region in Italy for traditional seafood based risotto. Pairings: Olea Europaea Riso Vialone Nano produces a light, creamy risotto that perfectly complements the flavours of fresh seafood – for instance, it makes for an excellent ingredient in a traditional Venetian seafood risotto, complete with fresh clams, mussels, lobster and calamari. Vialone Nano Rice also works great for Italian favourites like Neapolitan rice timbale, arancini and minestrone soup.
